The Des Moines City Council recently approved travel expenses for Jeffrey Lester, city attorney, to travel to Chicago May 13-16 for the Chicago Conference on Labor Law and Labor Arbitration. The conference is sponsored by the Labor Arbitration Institute and will include sessions designed for management and attorneys. It will also include information regarding FMLA, ADA, discipline and discharge, job performance and labor contract language and interpretation. This comes at a cost of $1,395 to taxpayers. CV
