Cityview offers straight-forward, alternative perspective

I just wanted to congratulate you for your recent editorial staff changes and additions. I have recently relocated from Des Moines to Omaha but still check in with Cityview to get an alternative perspective to The Des Moines Register. I very much appreciate the direct, honest way your articles are written with an eye toward a more objective truth (or as Paul Harvey might have said… “the rest of the story”). Keep up the good work, I’ll stay tuned!

Pick the best, Romney and Ryan

I’m 64 years old and was in business for 37 years but had to retire earlier than I wanted because business was so bad. I lost most of my retirement funds in the stock market, the expenses were more than the money coming in. Plus business was down 75 percent.

I was speaking to my wife the other day and said it should be a simple choice for people. If I were to go back into business, who would I want to run my company — Barack Obama and Joe Biden or Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan?

This is a very simple choice, I would pick the best — Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan.

God bless America. We need it.

Anti-Obama ads try to scare senior citizens

AMAZING! Republicans traditionally oppose government entitlement programs like Medicare. But now the so-called Obamacare (actually a nationwide expansion of Romney’s Massachusetts health program) supposedly threatens Medicare.

Romney’s ads say that his proposed economic plan will save Medicare. I guess now Romney and Ryan just love Medicare — now that they can use it to try to fool or scare seniors into voting for them.
