Travel
The Des Moines City Council approved travel funds in the amount of $1,610.84 for Jason Van Essen, senior city planner, to visit Mobile, Alabama, from July 27-31 to attend the National Alliance of Preservation Commission’s Conference. This conference will provide information to ensure that Des Moines’s city staff is current on preservation issues and solutions, along with providing the opportunity to promote Des Moines to those attending the conference in 2018.
