The Des Moines City Council approved funding for travel expenses for Jeremy Sprague, detective and senior police officer, to visit Ellicott, Maryland, from Nov. 11-16. Sprague will attend a course designed to provide participants with the latest information on critical incident stress management techniques and post-trauma syndromes. The course is offered by the International Critical Incident Stress Foundation. This comes at a cost of $2,297 to local taxpayers. CV
