Travel
The Des Moines City Council recently approved travel expenses for Human Relations Specialist Nekesha Palmer ($3,515.89) and Sergeant Josh Rhamy ($2,409). Palmer will visit Washington, D.C., from Jan. 24-31 to attend required training at the National Fair Housing Academy. It will provide training on how to conduct a comprehensive, fair and ethical housing investigation. Rhamy will travel to Evanston, Illinois, from June 14-19 to attend a death investigation class conducted by Northwestern University. The course will cover crime scene management, cause and manner of death, case management, and officer-involved shooting investigations. CV
