The Des Moines City Council recently approved senior crime scene investigator Tan Gene Huynh, to travel to Madison, Wis., from Dec.1-6, to attend a Ron Smith and Associates course entitled “Introduction to the Science of Ridge Examination.” The course promises to provide opportunities for Huynh to learn, study and participate in workshops that will allow the CSI to learn how to identify, evaluate and compare latent fingerprints. This tax-funded travel expense totals $1,607. CV
