Travel
Des Moines City Council recently approved Captain Todd Dykstra to travel to Dubuque May 5–10 to attend training sponsored by the Institute of Police Technology and Management. The training is said to help develop and enhance knowledge in the process of conducting professional and objective internal affairs investigations. It will also provide techniques to prepare for and conduct interviews of complainants, witnesses and officers. This travel expense come with a $1,426 price tag to local tax payers. CV
