Jazz in July is located in front of the historic Hoyt Sherman Place. Each Tuesday in July offers free jazz on the EMC Plaza Stage. On July 7, Nola Jazz with Abbie Sawyer; July 21 is Carson Parker Quartet with Avi Gedler. For more info, visit hoytsherman.org.

Rendezvous on Riverview, located at Riverview Park in Des Moines, is in full swing this summer. Bring the kiddos, as there is a playground next to the music. July 17, Mike Moody and the Outlaws; July 24, Stark Raving Madge and July 31, Jesse & The Medicine Men.

Nights in the Heights is a laid-back concert series at Colby Park in Windsor Heights on Tuesdays. Ride your bikes or bring the kids, as there is a trail and playground nearby. July 14 is RetroSpect, July 21, The Dick Danger Band and July 28, Sons of Gladys Kravitz. ♦
