Two brothers form the Cactus Blossoms, who will perform their vintage brand of folk and country music in concert at xBK Live on Nov. 12. Tickets start at $20.

Lily Rose, a former classic pianist with the Drake Community School of Music, has released a new digital CD, “See You Again.”  In this collection of songs, Rose sings about mental health, creativity, finding yourself and your own voice, and gratitude for past experiences. Rose says music has been the best medicine for depression, and she hopes it serves as a bridge for others who are struggling. The CD is available to stream.

Susan Werner plays Stephens Auditorium in Ames on Nov. 21. Cleverly weaving an array of genres, Werner’s play list includes folk, jazz and pop as she dazzles her audience with a sassy wit and classic Midwestern charm. 

Mooseknuckle, a high energy jam rock quartet from Des Moines, will play Nov. 12 at The Brick Room in Grimes, 208 S.E. Main St. Bring your own beer, wine or soda. Ages 21-plus. Doors open at 7:30 p.m., the music begins at 8. n
