The Des Moines Music Coalition made its initial lineup announcement for 80/35 this week, and it included headliners The Decemberists and Nas. Also among the bands announced were Lotus, Wolf Parade, The Black Lips, Jeff Austin Band, Thao & The Get Down Stay Down, Craig Finn, Lizzo, Colleen Green, as well as regional acts Holy White Hounds, Green Death, The Pistol Whippin’ Party Penguins, Vic Spencer, Mikel Wright & The Wrongs, Druids, TWINS, MarKaus, MAIDS, Sires, Genome, Tires, MaZoo, Courtney Krause, The Dead Line String Band, The Smoothsayers, Goldbums, The Cardinal Sound, Easy Fruit, FRO and Odd Pets. Peter Frampton will perform at Hoyt Sherman Place on Friday, July 15 to mark the 40th anniversary of “Frampton Comes Alive!” Tickets go on sale this Friday at 10 a.m. and can be purchased in person at the Hoyt Sherman Place box office or online at www.ticketmaster.com.

Diana Ross has scheduled a performance at the Des Moines Civic Center on Thursday, July, 21.Tickets will go on sale on Friday, April 8 at 9 a.m. at www.DesMoinesPerformingArts.org, the Civic Center Ticket Office, all Ticketmaster locations and charge-by-phone at (800) 745-3000.
