The Iowa State Fair is starting to roll out its musical lineup for the coming summer. Grandstand shows announced thus far include Casting Crowns on Aug. 13; Justin Moore on Aug. 14; Def Leppard, Styx and Tesla on Aug. 15; Reba McEntire on Aug. 16; and Alabama on Aug. 20. The 2015 free stage acts are set to include local acts such as Bonne Finken and The Nadas, as well as touring acts including Here Come the Mummies (Aug. 23), Lita Ford (Aug. 13), Jamie Lynn Spears (Aug. 14) and Sir Mix-A-Lot (Aug. 20). This week’s Pick o’ the Week is over at the Des Moines Social Club. This week, Iowa Public Radio’s “Live From Studio One” comes to town to feature The Maytags. The show takes place in the Social Club’s Basement Bar on Thursday, March 5 at 7 p.m and is free to attend. Mahalo. CV
