It is once again time for the Nate Niceswanger’s monthly Des Moines Music Collectors Show. The event takes place at the downtown Holiday Inn and features collectors hawking CDs, LPs, cassettes and maybe the occasional wax cylinder — whatever floats your musical boat. This month’s show is unique, however, because it is the first time the show will include a couple of equipment dealers as well. So head on down this Sunday, March 1, and check out the local wares. The show runs from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m., and admission is always just a single, solitary dollar.

Your Pick o’ the Week this week is over at Vaudeville Mews on Friday, Feb. 27, where you can check out the EP release show for Karen Meat & The Players’ newest offering. Ramona Muse, Goldblums and Neon & Nude are on the card as well, which kicks off at 10 p.m. Admission is $7, and make sure to buy an album while you are there. Mahalo. CV
