The Civic Music Association is in search of a new executive director. Outgoing director Carrie Clogg leaves the CMA on May 2, to take a position as Kum & Go’s new director of philanthropy, leaving big shoes to fill. Interested applicants can get the full details at www.civicmusic.org/news.

The local Blues community comes together on Sunday May 4, from 3-6 p.m., to present a benefit show at the Gas Lamp for the blues and rock legend Walter Trout, who is awaiting a liver transplant. This show features Bob Pace and The Dangerous Band and The James Biehn Band. Nadas’ Neil Stoffregen, will provide keys for both acts. A $10 donation is suggested at the door goes entirely toward the Trout’s emergency liver transplant fund and recuperation.

The Pick o’ The Week is on Saturday, May 3, when you can head up to the Hull Avenue Tavern and catch Joe and Vicki Price. Show starts at 9 p.m., and you’re rarely going to hear better blues than that which comes from Joe’s guitar. Mahalo. CV
