HITTING A GIRL WITH GLASSES
The victim called police around 2:30 p.m. after a friend of hers broke into a house where she was sleeping at the 300 block of East McKinley and assaulted her. The suspect broke a window and came inside, then unlocked the front door to let in a second suspect. One of them grabbed her arm and punched her in the face multiple times because she had told the suspect’s boyfriend about the suspect’s cheating. The suspects broke the victim’s glasses and cell phone totaling an estimated $1,100 in damages.
FBI LISTENING TO DMPD TASING
Police responded to the Sunburst Apartment complex, 5015 S.W. Ninth St., at 6:10 p.m., after callers had witnessed a man with a knife outside. Several witnesses told police the man’s apartment number. When the cops knocked on the door, the suspect told them to come in. He was standing, holding the knife when they entered, but put it down and sat down, obeying orders. The suspect talked about the FBI listening and things of that nature. Then he lunged at an officer threatening to kill him. So the officer tased the suspect and arrested him.
