 PLAYING WITH FIRE

CNA - Stop HIV Iowa

A woman called police around 5 p.m. on Oct. 2 claiming someone fired a gun at her at the 2200 block of Clark. Police observed a bullet hole in her vehicle. The woman eventually admitted that she hangs out with Sureno gang members, as well as some of her family members, and that some of the shootings (she was involved in a previous drive-by) may be gang related.

 SANDWICH SLAPPED

Police were dispatched to Amos Hiatt Middle School on Sept. 27 at 11 a.m., where a teacher reported an assault on her by one of her students. Police observed video surveillance that showed the teacher being struck in the head with a lunch pack containing half of a sandwich and a fruit cup, according to the suspect’s mother.
