HOW MUCH CAN ONE CHEVY HOLD?

Police responded to the 800 block of Leach on Jan. 29 in response to a daytime burglary. Among the missing items were a floor jack ($150), 5,000 baseball cards ($500), nine totes containing DVDs, pictures, dance trophies and ornaments ($250). The victim is claiming $2,340 in total stolen property. Neighbors described a Chevy in the driveway. Police continue investigations.

VIOLENT VETERAN

Veteran’s Hospital staff called police after a patient assaulted staff members and another patient on Jan. 29. The suspect allegedly tried choking two nurses on two separate occassions. Witnesses claimed to have seen the assault on one nurse as well as another male patient. He was arrested.

 

JOHNNY WALKER

A Walgreens employee called police after he witnessed a man come into the store at 6200 S.E. 14th St. around 5:30 p.m. on Jan. 29., remove a security cap from a bottle of Johnny Walker Black, put the bottle up his coat and walk out without paying. When the employee approached the man about what was in his jacket, the man said, “My gun’s in my jacket.” Police will view surveillance footage, but the suspect got away. CV
