Mountain Dew and Accelerate360’s ASN: The Adventure Sports Network Group announced today its primary partners for next weekend’s Dew Tour skateboard competition and festival to be held at Lauridsen Skatepark in Des Moines, May 20-23. MTN DEW returns as the presenting partner, along with lead partners Toyota, TikTok, Catch Des Moines, Polk County Conservation, Tech Deck, Hy-Vee and Casey’s.

More than 300 of the world’s top male and female skateboarders will compete in individual Park and Street events for a chance to win the Dew Tour title, while earning valuable points toward their country’s Olympic skateboarding team. As in the past, Dew Tour competitors exemplify the best in each sport. Competition will take place at Lauridsen Skatepark, an 88,000 square foot custom concrete skatepark built by renowned builders California Skateparks – now the largest skatepark in the United States.

Partners will be located throughout the Dew Tour Experience, a festival-style area that will be spread throughout 2nd Avenue between Center Street and School Street in Des Moines. The Dew Tour Experience will offer a large, socially distanced and safe area for fans to enjoy fun and free event partner activations as well as a public skate pump track.

MTN DEW, the founding partner of Dew Tour since its inception in 2005, will continue to be the front and center partner at Dew Tour Experience this year. The MTN DEW Skate Through experience invites fans to skate or walk through their event tent to pick up free branded sunglasses, koozies, tote bags and MTN DEW samples all weekend. Additionally, branded MTN DEW bicycles will cruise around downtown Des Moines throughout the event weekend to hand out ice cold cans of Dew to visitors and fans. Media will have exclusive access to MTN DEW athletes during a virtual meet and greet on Thursday, May 20.

While Toyota has been a partner on the Winter Dew Tour for years, this summer, they join Dew Tour as the Official Mobility Partner of the event. The partnership includes entitlement of Dew Tour’s first-ever adaptive skateboard competitions, including men’s Park and men’s and women’s Street events. On-course, Toyota will have a RAV4 as part of the Park course and a Highlander on the Street course. At the Dew Tour Experience, fans can stop by the Sienna Hybrid where they can have their face branded on a cookie, the Toyota Corolla to pick up some skate wax, as well as a Toyota Tacoma station where fans can pick up custom skate T-Tools. Team Toyota skateboarder Jordyn Barratt will host a socially distanced meet-and-greet during the event.

The Dew Tour promotions will be featured in more than 400 combined stores within a seven-state Midwestern region.

As a lead partner, the short form community-based video brand TikTok will utilize their Live feature to stream key Dew Tour events on the app in real time. Additionally, competitors will skate a branded Tik Tok feature on the Street course.

Tech Deck mini fingerboards will be on-hand at Dew Tour to offer giveaways for fans. Additionally, a Tech Deck branded skate feature will also be included on the Street Course.

With the support of Dew Tour’s presenting sustainability partner MidAmerican Energy, on-site initiatives will minimize environmental impacts: alternative energy sources, carbon footprint analysis, landfill diversion and responsible water consumption. An upcycled art piece created live in Dew Tour Experience by local artist, Jacob Kuperman, will capture the program’s award-winning legacy “Lifecycle of a Skateboard” using recycled skate decks.
