New Waukee Public Library Hours Begin May 1
4/24/2017Waukee, Iowa — Soon, users of the Waukee Public Library can access the popular facility and its resources a little earlier each morning. Beginning May 1, instead of opening at 9:30 a.m., the library will open its doors at 9 a.m. each day of the week except for Sunday.
“We felt that adjusting our hours to open at 9 a.m. would benefit our patrons,” said Waukee Public Library Director Kristine Larson. “We often have patrons waiting at the entrance for us to open in the mornings; we knew we could serve them better by making this small adjustment.”
The following hours of operation will kick in beginning Monday, May 1, 2017:
- Monday-Thursday: 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.
- Friday: 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
- Saturday: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
- Sunday: 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. (Labor Day – Memorial Day)
Also, of note, the Waukee Public Library is closed on Sundays during the summer (May 28 through September 3).
