“80 for Brady”

PG-13 | 98 minutes
Director: Kyle Marvin
Stars: Lily Tomlin, Sally Field, Jane Fonda, Rita Moreno

Based on the story of real-life women who bonded over being widows and their love of the Patriots to form their own New England fan club, “80 for Brady” follows four Patriots superfans on a quest to attend the 2017 Super Bowl for what they believe will be Brady’s last game. Written by Sarah Haskins and Emily Halpern and directed by Kyle Marvin, the movie explores women of a certain age on their “heroic mission,” and wouldn’t you know it, they get up to some shenanigans along the way: Tomlin gets her friends to drop everything and go to the Super Bowl, Fonda flirts with Rob Gronkowski, Field competes in a hot-wing-eating contest, and Moreno does enough drugs to become Guy Fieri.

“Magic Mike’s Last Dance”

R | 112 minutes
Director: Steven Soderbergh
Stars: Salma Hayek, Channing Tatum, Caitlin Gerard

The film opens with Mike (Channing Tatum) in dire straits. A bad business deal has left him broke and taking bartender gigs in Florida. When he meets a wealthy socialite (Salma Hayek), she provides him with the opportunity to return to the stage in London for what he believes will be the last hurrah. Unbeknownst to him, this woman has an agenda of her own. With his career on the line, once Mike discovers what is on her mind, will he still be able to pull off the greatest erotic show of all time?

“Knock at the Cabin”

R | 100 minutes
Director: M. Night Shyamalan
Stars: Dave Bautista, Jonathan Groff, Ben Aldridge

CNA - Stop HIV Iowa

Seven-year-old Wen (Kristen Cui) and her parents, Eric (Jonathan Groff) and Andrew (Ben Aldridge), are vacationing at a remote cabin on a quiet New Hampshire lake. Their closest neighbors are more than two miles in either direction along a rutted dirt road. One afternoon, as Wen catches grasshoppers in the front yard, a stranger unexpectedly appears in the driveway. Leonard (Dave Bautista) is the largest man Wen has ever seen but he is young, friendly, and he wins her over almost instantly. Leonard and Wen talk and play until Leonard abruptly apologizes and tells Wen, “None of what’s going to happen is your fault.” Three more strangers then arrive at the cabin carrying unidentifiable, menacing objects. As Wen sprints inside to warn her parents, Leonard calls out: “Your dads won’t want to let us in, Wen. But they have to. We need your help to save the world.” ♦
