Emmy Award-winning songwriter and Iowa native Bonne Finken presents an Eras-style concert on Sept. 5 at xBk Live. She is debuting her new single, “Blood Runs Through Me.” Tickets $20.

Night Moves is a four-piece band from Minneapolis that recently released an album, “Double Life.” Night Moves is often referred to as “cosmic twang rock disco” that pulls inspiration from Glen Campbell and Bobby Caldwell, Cleaners from Venus and early 1990s country. They will perform a concert, with Rachel Bobbitt opening, on Sept. 9 at xBk Live. Tickets $25.

TopHouse is a rising indie-folk group from Missoula, Montana, that released its new EP, “Practice,” in February. A recent Grand Ole Opry debut performance earned them two standing ovations. If you’re a Mumford & Sons or Lumineers fan, you will enjoy the rich harmonies of this folk rock/bluegrass, pop band. The Ruen Brothers open. Catch them at Wooly’s on Sept. 20. Tickets $33.15.

On Sept. 19 and Sept. 20, the annual Beaverdale Fall Festival takes place. Christopher’s in Beaverdale is sponsoring music by Sons of Gladys Kravitz on Sept. 19 and Stark Raving Madge on Sept. 20. For a full lineup of bands, visit www.fallfestival.org. 

Triple Elvis, an indie rock band from Des Moines, is releasing their EP “Funoff” at a concert release show on Sept. 27 at Lefty’s Live Music. Also performing are the Foxholes and The Mesmerists. Cost is $10 for the all-ages show. ♦
