The Iowa State Fair has announced its grandstand concerts, running from Aug. 7-17.  As of press time, Megan Moroney with opener Kameron Marlowe is already sold out. Other grandstand acts include: Pitbull, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Def Leppard, Hairball, Hank Williams Jr., T-Pain, KIDZ BOP, Forrest Frank with special guest Lecrae and Parker McCollum with special guest Josh Abbott Band. Tickets run from $34-$104, depending on show; fair admission not included in ticket price. Tickets available at www.etix.com/ticket/v/12047. 

If you haven’t been to one of the “V” concert venues (Val Air Ballroom and Vibrant Music Hall), it’s time to attend a concert. Whatever your genre, both venues offer unique options. On April 23, Alyssa Edwards, a well-known drag performer and former RuPaul Drag Race star, performs her unique show at Val Air Ballroom. April 26 is Bright Eyes, an indie-rock band at Val Air Ballroom. On April 29, Yachtley Crew plays 1970s and 1980s soft rock cover tunes at Val Air Ballroom. At Vibrant Music Hall, catch Spiritbox, a Canadian heavy metal band, on April 30. ♦
