It’s Iowa State Fair time, and this year fairgoers can see a butter sculpture tribute to the Iowa film “Field of Dreams”…

Most of the cast was sculpted from traditional sweet cream butter, but in an effort to stay true to the original movie, Terence Mann, as portrayed by James Earl Jones, was done in Nutella.

Famous Iowa farmer and bachelor Chris Soules, was at the state fair to judge the annual Farm Bureau grilling contest…

After a season on ABC’s “The Bachelorette,” Soules said, “It’s finally MY TURN to judge some pieces of meat!”

An indoor zoo at Merle Hay Mall in Des Moines announced it will close and relocate its animal exhibits later this year…

One of the monkeys at the zoo said he doesn’t care where they end up as long as the next mall has a Banana Republic.

And Iowa Congressman Steve King and Kentucky Senator Rand Paul were caught off guard by pro-immigration activists at a recent fundraising lunch in Okoboji…

King said the dialogue prompted him to give up previous plans to construct a fence at the U.S.-Mexico border so he can focus on building fences everywhere he eats lunch.
