At 43 years old, Tom Brady inherited a 7-9 Buccaneers team that hadn’t sniffed the postseason since 2008. Against all odds, he led them to a Super Bowl berth, where he’ll square off with the always electric Patrick Mahomes and his reigning champion Chiefs.

Sunday’s game pits one of the league’s brightest young stars against the most decorated quarterback in football history. Brady is seeking a seventh Super Bowl ring, while Kansas City will be looking to win back-to-back titles for the first time since his 2003-2004 Patriots.

So who will leave Tampa Bay with the Lombardi Trophy? Let’s get to the preview and find out:

Kickoff: 6:30 p.m. EST

Channel: CBS

Point spread: Chiefs -3

Over/Under: 56

When Kansas City has the ball:

Takeaways, takeaways, takeaways.

Though Brady has generated most of the headlines — with good reason, it’s his 10th Super Bowl appearance! — the story of Tampa Bay’s run has also been forcing turnovers.

The Buccaneers secondary has picked off opposing passers five times in the postseason. They’ve gifted Brady short fields and he’s cashed in. The challenge will never be loftier than with Mahomes, who threw just six interceptions this season and has been perfect on that front in the playoffs.

When the two teams met in November, Tampa Bay only had one takeaway, and they came up one possession short in a 27-24 loss. That wasn’t a coincidence. Brady turned it over twice. To beat the Chiefs, they’ll need to win the turnover battle.

Tyreek Hill absolutely destroyed the Buccaneers in the regular season game, catching 13 passes for 269 yards and three touchdowns. Will Todd Bowles learn from his mistakes? Tampa Bay needs to put two jerseys on No. 10 at all times. They can’t let him beat them (almost) single-handedly again.
