The Des Moines City Council approved travel funding for Detective Brad Youngblut to visit Albany, New York, from Oct. 2-8. Youngblut attended the 2015 Colonel Henry F. Williams International Homicide Seminar presented by the New York State Police. The course was structured for advanced homicide investigation and provided a variety of instruction on several aspects of death investigations. This came at a total cost of $1,750 to local taxpayers.
