Travel

The Des Moines City Council approved travel expenses for Skip Moore ($1,489.24), city council member, to Charlotte, North Carolina, from Nov. 3-6. Moore is traveling to attend a conference for Community Forestry and for ACTree Day. Jason Van Essen ($1,871), senior city planner, is traveling to Savannah, Georgia, from Nov. 11-14. Van Essen is to attend the National Trust of Historic Preservation National Conference, which will be reimbursed by the State of Historic Society of Iowa. CV
