In March 2020, bars shut down right before St. Patrick’s Day. Shamrock-wearing, green-beer revelers are hoping that’s not the case for 2021. Many St. Patty’s Day celebrations include mask wearing (green masks optional). Consider these options. On March 17, The Dueling Fiddles, consisting of Hanna Wolle and Genevieve Salamone, play at The Hall in West Des Moines. Luke Farland brings his classic and new
country acoustic act to On The Rocks in Indianola.

Ward Davis, a singer/songwriter brings his country acoustic show to Wooly’s on March 13. Davis has written hundreds of songs for musicians, such as Trace Adkins, Willie Nelson and Cody Jinks. Tickets, $25; table seating is extra.

Tailgating in March? Why not? The snow will hopefully be melted by then. Summerset Winery is offering a tailgate concert, social-distance style, on March 21, featuring music by Ducharme Jones. You can listen to them perform music from their new album, “Unbroken.” The free concert, from the comfort of your car, begins at 2 p.m.

The Hillbilly Air Show, featuring Jesse and the Medicine Men, plays at the Gaslamp on March 12. $5 at the door.

Catch funky dance band the Dick Danger Band on March 27 at the Down Under Lounge for a free concert. ♦
