More good stuff from Hoyt Sherman Place, as the venerable Sherman Hill venue has announced that Buddy Guy is coming to town on Nov. 17 for a show at 7:30 p.m. Tickets went on sale this past Friday and are available through Ticketmaster or the Hoyt Sherman box office.

Wells Fargo Arena announced that Disturbed will be making a Friday, Sept. 30 stop at the venue during its North American tour featuring special guests Chevelle and Nothing More. Tickets go on sale this Friday at 10 a.m. through Hy-VeeTix.com, 844-55-HYVEE, the Wells Fargo Arena Ticket Office or any of the 22 Hy-Vee locations in the Des Moines metro and Ames. Ticket prices range from $29.50 to $59.50.

This week’s Pick o’ the Week can be found at Wooly’s on Saturday, July 16 when Dead Horse Trauma  brings its act back home, playing along with Chrysalis, Murder Earth, White Knuckle Riot, Faith in Vain and Forever Tormented. The all-ages show is free and kicks off at 5:30 p.m. Mahalo. CV
