Last week we told you about Bonne Finken’s quest to be named the opening act for Omaha’s annual “Bank of the West Celebrates America” music festival. The fan tally is in, and Finken has won, which means she will head to Omaha on June 26 to open for Joan Jett & The Blackhearts and Eddie Money in front of an expected 10,000-person crowd. Congrats, Bonne. Knock ‘em dead.

Your Pick o’ the Week this week is over at Vaudeville Mews on Saturday, June 27. On that day, the Mews plays host to the “Too Broke for the Arts Festival Fest,” featuring artists and vendors from across the state, along with live music provided by Ventura, California-based Night Demon, as well as local bands SpeedRun and Dark Mirror. Festival opens at 2 p.m., and admission is completely free. Mahalo. CV
