This year’s Iowa Jazz Hall of Fame ceremony is scheduled for Sunday, Oct. 19. Hosted by the Community Jazz Center (CJC), this year’s ceremony will take place at the Adventureland Inn in Altoona, and inductees will be guitarist Jay Alcorn, composer Gabriel Espinosa and bassist Steve Charlson. In addition, the CJC will give awards of special recognition to trombonist Paul Bridson and singer Fred Gazzo. The Next Generation Award will be given to bassist Brooke Peters, and the Bobby Dawson Award will be presented to Roosevelt High School senior Hannah Marks.
