The Belin Quartet is beginning its summer concert series on May 30. The free series of noontime shows will take place in various spots throughout downtown Des Moines and is open to all ages. The shows will run on Fridays throughout June and July and will take place this year on the downtown library lawn and the courtyard of the new Des Moines Social Club headquarters. This week’s Pick o’ the Week can be seen down at Gas Lamp, where Ryne Doughty takes to the stage on Friday, May 23, and will be joined by Josh Davis and Pat Bump. Admission is $5 at the door, and the show starts at 9 p.m. Mahalo. CV
