The deadline for applications for this year’s Metro Art Alliance “Jazz in July” series is Jan. 24. Now in its 32nd year, Jazz in July spotlights some of central Iowa’s most unique communities and musical acts. Applications can be found at www.jazzinjuly.org. The Civic Music Association is bringing Grammy-nominated wind ensemble Imani Winds to town on Friday, Jan. 24. The quintet will perform at Drake University’s Sheslow Auditorium, and tickets range from $20 to $48. For more information, go to www.civicmusic.org.
