WOMAN BEATER

Police were called to an alley at the 1400 block of East Walnut on Feb. 15 around 3:45 p.m. An injured woman on scene was transported to the hospital. There, police talked to her boyfriend, the witness. He said they had been walking down the road when he dropped his wallet, which contained his social security card and ID. He turned around to go back for it, but a man and woman had already picked it up and had it in their possession. The two couples started arguing, which resulted in the male suspect punching the female victim in the jaw. The suspects then fled the scene with the wallet.

SCOOP A DIFFERENT LOOP

Police responded to Blank Children’s Hospital regarding an assault that occurred at 15th and Locust Street around 11:30 p.m. on Feb. 15. The 16-year-old victim from Hartford said he was scooping the loop downtown. A truck in front of him went sideways, taking up all three lanes, and the victim yelled at them to move. That’s when a woman got out of the truck, came up to his window and punched him repeatedly in the face. Then a male from the truck came up and said, “I’ve got this,” and started punching him repeatedly in the face, resulting in what doctors determined to be a concussion. CV
