A 44-year-old Texas man reported to police on Dec. 3 that sometime between 6 p.m. and 8 a.m. on Nov. 26-27 someone had stolen from his vehicle, which was parked at the 4000 block of John Lynd Road. He reported a Ferragamo jacket, Ferragamo shirts, sunglasses and various other clothing missing, valued at $4,500.
HOT COATS TO KEEP WARM
A loss prevention employee at Burlington Coat Factory, 4094 Merle Hay Road, on Dec. 3 called the cops on two female employees, ages 21 and 27, for stealing about $1,500 worth of clothing by scanning each other’s items and not paying for them. He gave police copies of receipts and security video. Detectives will follow up.
HOMIE DON’T PLAY
A clerk at Game Stop, 5126 S.E. 14th St., reported that around 8:40 p.m. on Dec. 2 a person entered the store, walked to the back and picked up two Playstation 3s — one new, one used — with a total value of $540, and quickly left the store, fleeing in a red Chevy Trailblazer. Police collected surveillance footage.
SCREW SANTA… AND SEARS
A 44-year-old woman was arrested on Dec. 3 after she and two men entered Sears, 4000 Merle Hay Road, and started putting items into a cart and pushed the cart out to the parking lot without making a purchase. The two men got away, and the suspect said she only knew their nicknames. The items taken included: a glittered hair bow ($12.99), a tree skirt ($39.99), a blue-ray player ($599.99), wrapping paper ($10) and a Craftsman coat ($120). CV
