THE GLASS HALF FULL

CNA - Stop HIV Iowa

Cops responded to the 1400 block of Mulberry Street just before 10 p.m. referencing an assault. The victim told police a woman he knows had thrown a cup half-filled with water at him, hitting him in the side. Witnesses attested that the victim had done nothing to provoke her anger and offered police video proof. The suspect said she didn’t remember doing it and asked to be taken to the hospital over jail, but they took her to jail.

10-YEAR-OLD BULLY

A woman called police at 11 a.m. insisting on filing assault charges on a 10-year-old girl in her son’s class. She said her son had come home with scratches and bruises and this was not the first time the girl had been abusive to the boy at Moulton Elementary. Police took the report but did not file charges.
