SMITH AND WESTCHESTER

A 17-year-old victim was sitting in his car parked at Westchester Park on Oct. 31 around 10 p.m. when four men approached with a handgun. They forced the teen out of his black Ford Focus and onto his knees. They frisked him for anything of value, and took his wallet and cell phone, before getting into his car and speeding off. The victim walked to the Beaverdale Walgreens to call police. He claimed his phone to be valued at $450, his car at $3,000 plus $7 in cash he carried in his wallet.

HAPPY HALLOWEENIE

A 16-year-old East High School student called police after a man allegedly exposed himself to her just before 6 a.m. on Nov. 1. She was getting something out of the trunk of her car, which was parked at the 1300 block of Buchanan, when a middle-aged man approached her and pulled out his penis and said, “Lick it, eat it,” according to reports. She said, “No, I’m calling the cops,” and started walking toward the school. The suspect followed until he saw her on her phone. Reports state this is the second similar incident within two weeks. Police will view parking lot surveillance and continue their search for the man.

A HOT MESS

Police responded to assist the fire department on a structure fire at the Sutton Hill Apartments, 2101 King Ave., around 8 p.m. on Oct. 31. Fire fighters had already extinguished a fire under the stairwell by the time cops arrived. The area was charred and melted, including newspaper and possible clothing items that appeared to have been lit on purpose. Several people in the area told police they saw nothing, and the caller said he heard the alarm and smelled smoke but witnessed nothing. Police are pursuing a possible suspect for arson. CV
