Map of My Kingdom at the Pella Opera House

Join the Pella Opera House for an afternoon of theatre on Saturday, May 13 at 2 p.m. Map of My Kingdom is sure to entertain and inform all ages. In this play by Iowa’s Poet Laureate, Mary Swander, this paly explores land disputes and family relationships will are tested.

Angela Martin, a lawyer and mediator in land transition disputes, shares stories of how farmers and landowners have approached their land transitions. Some families struggle to resolve the sale or transfer of their land, dissolving relationships. Others find peacefully rational solutions that focused on keeping the land, and the family, together.
