The center's new hours are Monday through Wednesday 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Thursday through Friday 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.; Saturday 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.; and Sunday 11 a.m. and 6 p.m.

East Village gets thrifty

Yet another new business will open its doors in the East Village when Mohair Pear, a vintage clothing store, moves in with ZZZ Records in July. An original Mohair Pear location in Cedar Falls, started by Dave Deibler and Barb Schilf of the band House of Large Sizes, features vintage and retro clothing, unique gifts, wigs, hats, T-shirts, rings, posters, purses, bags and more. The name comes from a song on a House of Large Size's album.

ZZZ Records will condense its selection of vinyl and CDs into one-half of the store to accommodate the new tenant.
