Welcome...
to our second edition of Cityview’s
Annual Manual, Central Iowa’s definitive
source for important information
about entertainment, dining, nightlife,
sports and outdoor recreation.
We published the guide last year
and were overwhelmed with the
response. In addition to inserting
the Annual Manual in Cityview,
we also distributed it to more
than 100 key locations throughout
the metro. And not a month went
by without someone calling us
to request more copies. You told
us that you liked the extensive
events calendar, restaurant listings,
seating charts and maps. And we
are pleased to bring the updated
information to you again this
year.
Once again, we segmented the
information into nine sections
to make it easy for you to use:
1) Go Outside: This is for those
of you who prefer outdoor activities.
If you are into amusement parks,
boat rentals, camping or skydiving,
this is your resource. Check it
out.
2) Exertion: From biking to bowling
to golfing to horseback riding,
you will find the details about
how to get sweaty in these activities
here.
3) Culture: Yes, there’s plenty
of it in Central Iowa. And you
will find all the details about
arts organizations, museums, historic
sites and more in this section.
4) Entertainment: Galleries, casinos,
clubs, live music. Even where
to shoot a game of pool.
5) Calendar: A comprehensive list
of the major events over the next
year.
6) The Basics: New to town? This
is your list of basic resources.
Old to town? You still might learn
a few things.
7) Eat & Drink: We all do
both, right? Get the lowdown on
local restaurants, coffee shops,
bars and clubs.
8) Seating Charts: Good seats
for that concert or game? Find
out how good. These handy seating
charts are surely a thing to keep.
9) Maps: We hope you don’t get
lost often, but you will want
to keep these at arms reach just
in case.
In addition to the approximately
1,000 locations where the guide
will be located, you can also
request additional copies if you
could them to good use. Simply
give me a call at (515) 953-4822,
Ext. 305 or email me at shane@dmcityview.com.
Compiling the information last
year was an enormous task. And
I learned that we accidentally
left a few listings out of the
print edition. We updated them
in our online edition throughout
the year and are pleased to provide
you with the most current information
that we have. Should we have happened
to miss something in this guide,
please let me know and we will
be glad to update our records
both online and for our print
edition next year.
Thanks for reading.
