The Des Moines City Council recently approved
Deputy Public Works Director Patrick J. Kozitza
to travel to Anaheim, Calif., from Aug. 25 –
29, to attend the 2012 American Public Works
Association Congress and Exposition. The conference
promises to provide information on the latest
innovations in public works, deliver top-notch
motivational speakers and “elevate its attendees
and their communities to new heights,” according
to City Council documents. The Iowa Chapter
of the American Public Works Society will reimburse
the City for airfare and lodging which will
bring the City’s cost for this trip down to
approximately $1,000. CV |
