music singer Trace Adkins ($45 and $75) on Thursday,
March 8 at 8 p.m. and veteran honky tonk singer

The Val Air Ballroom hosts hip-hop artist Tyga
($25) on Thursday, March 8 at 8 p.m. and Celtic
music group Gaelic Storm ($25) on Saturday,

Americana act Truckstop Souvenir plays the “Lunch
Unplugged” concert series at the Temple for
Performing Arts on Friday, March 9 at noon.

Singer-humorist Craig Carothers performs Saturday,
March 10 at 7 p.m. at the Anchor Coffee House

The Synergy Jazz Foundation hosts guitarist
Corey Christiansen on Saturday, March 10 at

Turner Jazz Center. Christiansen will be joined

a guest soloist with the Des Moines Big Band
on Monday, March 12 at 6:30 p.m. at Adventureland

The Des Moines Symphony performs the music of
Barber and Tchaikovsky on Saturday, March 10
at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, March 11 at 2:30 p.m.
at the Civic Center of Greater Des Moines. Tickets

performs the same concert on Friday, March 9
at 7:30 p.m. at the Waukee High School Auditorium

The Devil Wears Prada, Every Time I Die, Let

Iowa State Fair officials completed the Grandstand
lineup last week by announcing that country-rock
singer Miranda Lambert ($48) will perform Aug.
12 and ’80s rock stars Journey, Pat Benatar
and Loverboy ($48) will play Aug. 18. Tickets
for all Grandstand shows go on sale April 14
