Feb. 7, time unclear
Third-degree criminal mischief at East 27th
Court and University Avenue. Police were called
regarding two teenagers vandalizing a Clear
Channel billboard and electric box. Police located
the alleged suspects in the nearby D.A.V. Thrift
Store, where one of the boys told police it
was the other who was trying to unscrew a light
bulb from the billboard. The witness identified
both boys, and police discovered the electric
box damaged and dismantled. One was arrested
and the other was taken to juvie.
Feb. 6, 7:10 p.m.
Shooting at the 1300 block of 21st Street.
A caller heard five to six shots fired but saw
nothing. Police discovered bullets had struck
the deck, the house, the garbage can and a bedroom
window, which went through the wall and into
the kitchen. No car was heard or seen. No arrests
were made.
Feb. 7, 12:01 a.m.
Interference with official acts at the 3100
block of Bowdoin Street. Police were searching
for a possible suspect from an earlier domestic
assault. Two people in the home allegedly told
police the suspect was not in the residence
and consented to a search. Cops immediately
found him hiding in an upstairs bedroom, arrested
him and the others for lying to police. While
searching one of the arrestees, cops reportedly
discovered a light bulb narcotics pipe in his
hand and a second one in his pocket. Later,
at the jail, the same suspect was found to also
be carrying meth on him. CV |
