The Des Moines City Council recently approved Douglas Romig, Housing Services Director, to travel to Washington, D.C., from Feb. 27 to March 2, at a cost of $2,024 to tax payers. Romig will be attending the National Community Action Foundation Legislative Conference to meet and coordinate Federal legislative issues regarding Community Services Block Grants, LIHEAP and other Federal funding for Community Action Agencies. The conference is also said to provide educational sessions and national networking opportunities.CV
