Burglary at the 1900 block of East Euclid Avenue. A man told police someone had broke into his business, Insurance Auto Loans, and stole items from one of the vehicles on the property by cutting the padlock on the gate. Among the items reported missing were a generator, a 19-inch TV, a DVD recorder, a 22-inch computer monitor and miscellaneous audio equipment used for auctions. No dollar value was reported.

Jan. 25, 12:45 a.m.

Simple assault and first-degree harassment at the 1900 block of Claypool. Police were dispatched regarding a domestic dispute. When they arrived, they found a man and his brother standing over another man who was laying on the floor in his own vomit. He was shirtless and police observed red marks on his body from falling down stairs. They told police the man was suicidal. Then, when he got up off the floor, he punched the reporting party in the face right in front of the cops. As he was arrested and processed, the man repeatedly threatened to kill the officers and their families, according to reports.

Jan. 21, 11:34 p.m.

Harassment and assault at the 500 block of Robert D. Ray Drive. An employee at Brenton Skate Plaza was on the ice when a group of 13- to 14-year-old boys started causing problems while skating. After several warnings about skating through safety cones, he reportedly grabbed one of the boys and knocked him to the ice. The boys left. The boy’s father and an associate returned and motioned for the employee to skate over to the rail. After he explained to the father what happened, the father allegedly grabbed him by the coat, tried to pull him over the rail and allegedly swung at him. The father was identified later via a gift certificate they had on record. No charges were filed.CV
