It’s snow time!

By Shane Goodman Publisher/Editor

Getting involved in wintertime activities can be challenging with little or no snow. That will inevitably change, and we will certainly have a firm foundation of the white stuff to romp in soon. With that said, it is business as usual in central Iowa with a slate of events and activities both inside and outside to keep Jack Frost from nipping at your nose. We are pleased to provide you with a sampling of things to do in the winter months in our annual Winter Arts & Entertainment guide.

Settling in for a new film with a soft drink a bag of popcorn may be just what you need on a cold, wintery night. If live music is your thing, there are plenty of local and national acts to choose from in some of Des Moines’ most eclectic venues. Theater groups continue to provide quality offerings as well, showcasing an array of our local talent. And, of course, there’s the great outdoors, where central Iowans prove you can still ride a bicycle, run a race or simply play in the snow. Get all the details inside.

Thanks for reading. CV
