3XWrestling (3XW) presents its annual, year-end
super show, “Holiday Havoc 3,” on Friday, Dec.
30 at the Barratta’s@Forte Center inside All
Play, 615 Third St. The card will feature eight
bouts including three major title matches and
a tag team flag match — the first in 3XW history.
There will also be a special announcement regarding
a well-known wrestling champ who will be making
his 3XW debut in January. Doors open at 7 p.m.
(6:45 p.m. for advance ticket holders) with
a 7:30 p.m. start time. Advance tickets are

Ring in the New Year with Motown
The Des Moines Symphony presents its annual
New Year’s Eve Pops concert at 8 p.m. on Saturday,
Dec. 31 at the Civic Center of Greater Des Moines.
Adding some flavor to the mix this year will
be R&B quartet Spectrum who will sing The
Classic Hits of Motown. The group will perform
an array of Motown favorites, accompanied by
the Des Moines Symphony. Tickets are $15 to

Celebrate the New Year at noon
The Science Center of Iowa will celebrate the
New Year a little earlier than usual by hosting
the annual “Noon Years Eve” on Saturday, Dec.
31, starting at 11 a.m. Included in the admission
to the Science Center, “Noon Years Eve” offers
a fun and family-friendly chance to celebrate
the arrival of 2012 with noisemakers and a giant
balloon drop inside Founders Hall. For more

Get ready for The BASH
The Des Moines Social Club (DMSC), 400 Walnut
St., will hold its annual New Year’s Eve celebration,
The BASH,” on Saturday, Dec. 31 starting at
8 p.m. All proceeds go towards the DMSC’s programming.
Admission is $25 or $100 for all-inclusive and

Attendees will enjoy a variety of entertainment
including live music, aerial artists, nationally
renowned performances, dancers and DJ sets.
