Dec. 6, 7:30 a.m.-3 p.m.
Burglary at the 7000 block of Bloomfield. A
man called police after he and his wife and
daughter began to notice things were missing
from their home after they had been out for
the day. When he returned home, he found the
house unlocked and his bedroom light was on.
When his daughter came home, she realized someone
had gone through her bedroom and taken $2,000
worth of jewelry. That’s when they realized
his wife’s jewelry was also missing, valued
at $3,000, as well as an undisclosed amount
of cash that he had been keeping in a drawer
and a wedding ring with their family name engraved
on it. Police have no suspects.
Dec. 6, sometime after 3 p.m.
Burglary at the 2500 block of County Line Road.
A woman reported items missing and the smell
of gas in her home. Police, medics and fire
rescuers all responded. They discovered that
the burner on the stove had been left on, and
the suspect(s) had taken a jewelry box, jewelry,
an i-phone, CDs and several credit cards. She
told police she believes the suspect(s) also
left the burner on. A neighbor reported having
seen a red truck driving slowly through the
parking lot earlier in the day, but no suspects
have been named.
Dec. 5, 9:30 p.m.
Assault causing injury at the 700 block of
Army Post Road. The victim told police he was
assaulted the night before by two men while
he was in the McDonald’s drive-thru. He said
a man was following him and his friend too close
while driving down the road, and then, when
they got in line at the drive-thru, the suspect
pulled up next to them. The victim said he jumped
out of his friend’s vehicle and raised his arms.
That’s when the driver of the other vehicle
got out and pulled a gun on him, and the passenger
got out and punched him in the eye. The suspects
fled the scene. No arrests were made. CV |
