Travel

The City of Des Moines recently approved Sgt. Chris Hardy, of the police department, to travel to Bloomington, Minn., from Feb. 5–11 to attend training in Tactical Communications sponsored by the Mall of America Security Department. The training is said to teach the officer to better serve the community by providing the tools needed to diffuse tense situations. The cost for the trip is $2,063. CV
