The Civic Center of Greater Des Moines announced its lineup for its “Live at the Temple” concert series. It includes the Ruth Moody Band (Nov. 17), Irish Christmas in America (Dec. 5), Peter Yarrow (Jan. 24, 2012), Guy Davis (Feb. 6, 2012), Karla Bonoff (March 30, 2012) and La Guitara - Gender Bending Strings featuring Patty Larkin and guests (April 14, 2012). Season tickets are $140 through the Civic Center’s box office. Fans can also buy tickets for an additional show at the Temple when Tonic Sol-Fa performs there on April 28, 2012.

The Zac Brown Band will perform Nov. 19 at Wells Fargo Arena. Tickets are $27-$64 through the box office, Dahl’s Foods, by phone at (866) 55-DAHLS or online at http://www.dahlstickets.com.

The Ozark Mountain Daredevils play 7 Flags on Oct. 22. Tickets are $20-$50 at http://www.greatticketsnow.com.

The Trailer Park Boys play Hoyt Sherman Theater on Thursday, Oct. 6 at 8 p.m. Tickets are $43 at Ticketmaster.

The Drums play the Vaudeville Mews on Thursday, Oct. 6 at 6 p.m. Admission is $15.

People’s Court hosts several shows this week. They include Sister Soleil ($10, all ages) on Thursday, Oct. 6 at 7 p.m., The Chris Robinson Brotherhood ($18) on Friday, Oct. 7 at 9 p.m., The Nadas ($15) on Saturday, Oct. 8 at 9 p.m., We Came as Romans with Miss May I, Of Mice & Men, Texas in July and Close to Home ($15, all ages) on Sunday, Oct. 9 at 6:30 p.m. and Taking Back Sunday with The Maine and Bad Rabbits ($25, all ages) on Tuesday, Oct. 11 at 7:30 p.m. Visit http://www.peoplesdm.com.

Two shows of note this week at the Gas Lamp: Too Slim & The Taildraggers ($10) on Friday, Oct. 7 at 9 p.m. and the 9th Annual Tribute to Johnny Cash featuring Randy Burk and the Prisoners and guests ($7) on Saturday, Oct. 8 at 9 p.m.

The Bombay Bicycle Club hosts free shows at 8 p.m. by Whiskey and Woe on Friday, Oct. 7 and Jet Edison on Saturday, Oct. 8.

The World Food Festival, Oct. 7-9, returns to the East Village and includes free entertainment by Mr. Baber’s Neighbors, Hot Club of Des Moines, Tubabu, World Port, Bright Giant and others. Visit http://www.worldfoodfestival.org.

The Pretty Lights perform Sunday, Oct. 9 at 8 p.m. at the Val Air Ballroom. Tickets are $25 through Ticketmaster...

In other news, the ballroom will host the Sex Slaves and The Knobs ($10) on Oct. 30, Dayglow “The World’s Largest Paint Party” with live performances by Wildchild World (tickets TBA) on Nov. 18, the Lazer Rock Girl Pageant featuring Adelitas Way, Art of Dying and One Less Reason ($10.33) on Nov. 22 and country music outlaw David Allan Coe ($20) on Nov. 23.

The Flying Mango presents the Ryan Montbleau Band on Monday, Oct. 10 at the Temple for Performing Arts at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $32.50 or $52.50 for VIP seating, all of which include a free CD. CV
