Get ready to laugh as the Playhouse unleashes
the laugh-out-loud musical, "The Producers."
The story follows timid accountant Leo Bloom
and Broadway producer Max Bialystock, who team
up for a get-rich-quick scheme — overselling
shares in the world's worst musical. But complications
arise for the two when the show unexpectedly
turns out to be a hit. Tickets are $20 - $35.
‘Anne of Green Gables' presented by

A beloved children's tale makes its way to
the Kate Goldman Children's Theatre with "Anne
of Green Gables." When Matthew and Marilla
Cuthbert are looking for some help on their
farm, they decide to adopt an orphan. But instead
of a getting a boy, they get a red haired, freckled-face
girl named Anne. The story follows the life
of Anne on the farm and all of the trials and
tribulations she faces, as she grows older.
Tickets are $12 - $15.
‘Hedwig and the Angry Inch' presented
by Stage West

Returning for its 15th season, StageWest kicks
things off with a band thanks to "Hedwig
and the Angry Inch." The story follows
Hedwig Schmidt, an East German rock ‘n' roll
goddess who also happens to be the victim of
a botched sex-change operation. This wild and
outrageous tale is told through stories and
live music as the hard rockers, The Angry Inch,
back Hedwig. Tickets are $22-$25.
‘Lady Day at Emerson's Bar and Grill'

StageWest keeps the music going with another
show based around the music of iconic singer,
Billie Holiday. "Lady Day at Emerson's
Bar and Grill" follows one of the last
performances by Holiday, four months before
her death. More than 12 songs are interlaced
with memories and stories to project a riveting
portrait of the lady and her music. Tickets
are $22-$25.
‘Lonely Planet' presented by Tallgrass

Tallgrass Theatre opens its season with "Lonely
Planet," a tale about Jody and Carl, whose
friendship evolves in the age of AIDS. Jody
owns a shop, and Carl has been bringing chairs
of dead friends into the store. When it's time
to take an AIDS test, Carl tries to convince
Jody that he must take responsibility for his
life, or he will join the set of chairs that
are gradually filling the store. Tickets are
$15.
‘God of Carnage' presented by the Repertory
Theater of Iowa

From Yasmina Reza, the author of "Art"
and "Life X3" comes "God of Carnage,"
a funny tragedy about two sets of parents dealing
with fighting children. When the two couples
meet to discuss the problems, status and egos
come into play and ultimately, the parents end
up fighting more than the children. See this
local, intimate performance before Roman Polanski's
film starring Kate Winslet and John C. Reilly
hits the big screen later this year. Tickets
are $12-$22.
‘Bland Mary' and ‘Daisy' presented
