We all have special interests that we tend
to spend much of our time involved with. Some
have a passion for a certain band or genre of
music. Others can't seem to miss a college football
game or the opportunity to tailgate. And a completely
different group may opt for openings of art
shows. Fortunately, there is something for everyone
here in central Iowa, and we encourage you to
broaden your horizons and try some new activities
this year. If live music, football or art aren't
your things, how about wildlife viewing, wine
sampling or bass fishing? And if those don't
strike your fancy, take your pick from hundreds
of other activities, all detailed in this week's

and when. With the summer heat fading away,
there's no better time to get outside and take
advantage of all the area offers.
